About Coot

As a young turtle , Coot was not initially drawn to poker. Coot grew up in a small town and eventually became a successful dentist. Coot spent many years raising his family of baby Coots, while trying to find time to play poker for enjoyment. Eventually, Coot’s children grew up and there was more time available. Coot often dreamed of being a professional poker player. One weekend while still working as a dentist, Coot won the Cardplayer.com Mystery Bounty Main Event at BestBet Poker Room in Jacksonville, FL. Coot appeared on the home page of Cardplayer.com for over six months and started to gain notoriety. Coot decided to quit the job he was frustrated with and became a professional poker player.

Coot is considered the glue of the Coot Club. Coot can be a little bit of everything…..sneaky, calculated, entertaining and ruthless. Coot has developed fantastic instincts for people and can adapt to a lot of different situations. At times, Coot can struggle with the technical part of the game, but he continues to improve at the fundamentals. Coot sees poker as a blend of having fun while competing with others. Coot is beloved by the rest of the Coot Club and is seen as genuine and trustworthy…..except when he is running a bluff 😊
